Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. When it infects the lungs it is called pulmonary tuberculosis. Typical symptoms include chronic cough, coughing up blood, fever, night sweats, and weight loss.

Treatment
Follow the principles of early, regular, full-course, combined, and appropriate-dose therapy, taking combined anti-tuberculosis drugs for the full course under medical guidance. Never stop medication on your own to avoid drug resistance. Observe isolation and regular follow-up during treatment.
Dietary advice
Strengthen nutrition with adequate high-quality protein and calories, and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables for vitamins. Eat regularly, and stop smoking and alcohol.
