Overview

Dyshidrotic eczema is a type of eczema marked by small blisters on the hands or feet. It is an acute, hard-to-cure skin condition that tends to recur, commonly affecting the fingers, palms, and soles with sudden onset accompanied by intense itching.

Symptoms

• Deep-seated small blisters
• Palms and soles
• Itching
• Peeling
• Recurrent episodes

Treatment

Often related to sweating and allergy. Apply topical corticosteroids, keep hands and feet dry, and take oral antihistamines for itching.

Dietary advice

Eat a light diet, avoid spicy and allergenic foods, and reduce mental stress.
