Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition of the face, especially the nose, cheeks, and forehead, characterized by redness, telangiectasia, papules, and pustules. It is more common in women but nasal changes are more common in men, and it often develops in middle age.

Treatment
Managed mainly by avoiding triggers, gentle skin care, and topical medications; moderate to severe cases may use oral medications under physician guidance, with attention to sun protection.
Dietary advice
Follow a light diet, avoid spicy foods, alcohol, and very hot foods, and reduce irritating beverages.
