A rare cancer developing from immature cells of the retina. It is the most common primary intraocular malignancy in children, with most cases found in children under three, and has a high cure rate.
Symptoms
- Leukocoria (white pupil)
- Strabismus
- Decreased vision
- Proptosis
- Red eye
Treatment
Common in children; treatment involves chemotherapy, local therapy, or surgery as a comprehensive plan. Specialist evaluation is required.
