Overview

Globus pharyngeus is a sensation of a foreign body, blockage, or tightness in the throat without any organic obstruction, often related to chronic pharyngeal inflammation, reflux, or psychological factors. It presents as persistent throat discomfort that does not affect eating and worsens with emotional stress.

Treatment

Identify and treat pharyngeal and systemic causes, address gastroesophageal reflux, and combine psychological counseling with symptomatic treatment.

Dietary advice
