Aplastic Anemia

Overview

Aplastic anemia is a condition in which the bone marrow fails to produce enough new cells to replenish blood cells. While anemia usually refers to a low red blood cell count, patients with aplastic anemia have low counts of all three blood cell types: red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

Symptoms

• Anemia
• Fatigue
• Bleeding
• Recurrent infections
• Pale complexion

Treatment

Standardized diagnosis and treatment should be carried out in a hematology department, using supportive care and corresponding targeted therapy under a physician's guidance according to the condition.

Dietary advice

Eat a high-protein, highly nutritious, clean, easily digestible diet, pay attention to food hygiene, and avoid raw, cold, and unclean foods.
