A malignant tumor arising from mesenchymal supporting tissue such as connective tissue, muscle, and fat. Sarcomas are less common than carcinomas, accounting for about 1% of malignancies.
Symptoms
- Painless mass
- Local swelling
- Gradual enlargement
- Compression symptoms
- Restricted movement
Treatment
Treatment is mainly surgical resection, supplemented by radiotherapy and chemotherapy as a comprehensive plan. Specialist evaluation is required.
Dietary advice
Strengthen nutritional support with adequate high-quality protein and calories, and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
