Arrhythmia is any abnormal heart rhythm caused by disorders of cardiac automaticity or conduction, resulting in a heartbeat that is too fast, too slow, or irregular. It encompasses abnormalities in both rhythm and rate.

Treatment
Treat the underlying cause and correct triggers, choosing antiarrhythmic drugs based on the arrhythmia type. Radiofrequency ablation, cardioversion, or implantation of a pacemaker or defibrillator may be performed when necessary.
Dietary advice
Eat a light, balanced diet and limit stimulants such as coffee, strong tea, and alcohol. Ensure adequate intake of electrolytes like potassium and magnesium, and keep a regular routine.
