Overview

A rare adenocarcinoma arising from the epithelial cells of the bile ducts. Main symptoms include abnormal liver function, abdominal pain, jaundice, generalized itching, fever, and weight loss.

Treatment

Treatment is mainly surgical resection, supplemented by chemoradiotherapy and targeted therapy as a comprehensive plan. Specialist evaluation is required.

Dietary advice

Eat a low-fat, easily digestible diet, strengthen nutritional support with adequate high-quality protein, in small frequent meals.
