Migraine is a common primary headache that recurs with various neurological features. It presents as unilateral or bilateral throbbing headache, often with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound, typically lasting 4–72 hours.

Treatment
Acute attacks can be relieved with NSAIDs or triptans; frequent attacks may warrant preventive medication under a doctor's guidance. Avoid triggers and keep a regular routine.
Dietary advice
Eat at regular times and avoid excessive hunger. Reduce foods that may trigger headaches such as cheese, chocolate, alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
