Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor arising from the prostate. Most prostate cancers grow slowly, though some grow relatively quickly, and cancer cells can spread to the bones and lymph nodes. Early prostate cancer may be asymptomatic, while advanced disease can cause difficulty urinating, blood in the urine, back pain, and pelvic pain.
